Bobtail lizards love sunshine and bright flowers - like the hibbertia that bloom in the spring when they are leaving their winter naps. They may be a little cranky but they are a cute garden creature. Bobtail lizards are a large skink, also known as shingleback lizards, and different species can be found on both the east and west coast of Australia.
Hibbertia scandens is known as guinea flower or snake vine. It has gorgeous large yellow flowers that are similar to wild roses, and is pollinated by blue banded bees - and is also tasty to bobtail lizards!
