Gift ideas for mother’s day

TheMother's Day is in a couple of weeks, on Sunday 10 May this year. Have you organised a treat for your mum or beloved caring person in your life? Or if you're a Mum, now is a good time to drop hints on how to spoil you on Sunday!

You can always give a gift to another woman who's had a big impact on you growing up as well; you may have a mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother or family friends to celebrate. In case you’re short on ideas to add to her brunch and bouquet, I have some for you…

The Gardener

Getting outside to plant before winter rains arrive is the goal of all gardeners in May, and browsing the gardening books in the evenings. Help her remember what & where she planted with a notebook or sketchbook.

Chefs & Bakers

A soft linen tea towel to hang in the kitchen and wrap warm bread - for bonus points, bring it wrapped around a treat you’ve just baked for her to enjoy! These are made of 100% linen and will become softer with time.

Birdwatcher

Every birdwatcher needs all the right outdoor gear - and to give it their own personality, add some stickers! The vinyl stickers are weather and waterproof, and will stick to water bottles beautifully. There’s wetland birds including black swans, ibis and swamp hens, or you can get the backyard set with wattle birds, honeyeaters and willy wagtails! The ever-popular blue wrens come as a sticker sheet or larger individual stickers.

Bookworm

Does mum have a towering TBR pile? Help Mum keep her place with a gorgeous bookmark - or get her a few, since she probably has a few books on the go! These are cuter than the tissue she is probably using at the moment (no shame - I do the same!) and printed on sustainable recycled card.

Good luck with the spoiling, and don't forget the flowers!
